Introduction:

During our "You are a creative agency for a day" workshop, young individuals are encouraged to tackle actual briefs from genuine clients.

We collaborate with local businesses eager to hear from young people and receive creative, unconventional responses to their briefs.

Businesses can then choose to develop their preferred idea with Bravand's assistance, providing young people with their first paid work experience opportunity.

The Brief:

At The Sheffield BID, we want to promote the Sheffield City Centre Gift Card, which can be redeemed at over 100 independent businesses in Sheffield city centre.

Come up with a marketing campaign that will show our love for local businesses whilst grabbing the attention of our target audience. Make this a campaign Sheffield will never forget.

Student's response:

"We want to double sales of Sheffield Gift Cards. The way we want to achieve this is through an event set up to gain people's attention around it. The event would involve Jarvis Cocker throwing gift cards of varying value off a hot air balloon above Devonshire Green. This location has been chosen because of the numerous small businesses located in that area.

The reason Jarvis Cocker has been selected is because of the slogan of the campaign that is 'help the common people, support your local businesses' and Pulp's famous 'Common People' song."
